22 The house of Joseph, too, went up against Bethel, and the Lord was with them. 23 The house of Joseph reconnoitered Bethel, which formerly was called Luz.(A) 24 The scouts saw a man coming out of the city and said to him, “Tell us the way into the city, and we will show you mercy.”
